Skirts up is a hand picked gallery of 12 pin-up girls flashing their stockings. The images are created by Gil Elvgren (1914 – 1980). Elvgren was one of the most important pin-up artist of all times.
The author was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. Elvgren had an idea to become an architect. He went to the University of Minnesota to study design and architecture. After taking art classes at the Minneapolis Art Institute, Gil Elvgren made his mind to switch to drawing art vs buildings. After graduation Gil joined the most prestigious advertising agency in Chicago – Stevens and Gross. Elvgren created a lot of Coca-Cola ads. In a few years he started painting calendar pinups. Now we can enjoy his awesome art.
